Dog Friends - Auckland Region & Rodney - February 2019 URGENT PLEASE ALERT ALL YOUR DOG OWNING FRIENDS: Auckland Regulatory and Bylaws Committee passed a motion at their November 2018 meeting to put forward to the full Council a new FIXED time and season beach rule "Dogs prohibited 10am to 7pm from Labour weekend to 31st March." This was passed by all except Albany Ward councillors Wayne Walker and John Watson. We believe that the next meeting of the commmittee, on Thursday 14 February, will consider a finalised "Statement of Proposal" to go forward to Council. We will be there to see if they have listened to detailed research which Claire has put together over recent weeks showing that the reasoning used by Council staff to back the proposal was incorrect ! There will be a HUGE uproar from Hibiscus & Bays, Rodney and many other Auckland dog owners if this proposal is not changed !!!
